Meryl Streep has been cast to play the lead in the film version of the phenomenal debut memoir, Julie & Julia by Julie Powell. Nora Ephron is adapting the screenplay and is slated to direct. Amy Adams will be starring as the writer, Julie Powell. Filming will begin in 2008, according to Variety.
