A great read for the spooky Halloween season. We came across this book, which was originally published in hardcover in 2003 and rereleased in paperback in May of 2006, after hearing that it was one of the scariest books that an associate had ever read. It definitely lived up to its reputation. Amanda enjoys her life; she’s a young architect and happily married to her husband Ed. Everything is going as planned until she receives a mysterious book, Demonic Possession, Past and Present, that turns her life upside down and sends her world spiraling out of control. Amanda seems to lose control as she gets deeper into the book and actually begins to feel that she, herself, has become possessed by a demon. With its sparse writing and quick pacing, this creepy page-turner will keep you up late at night. A horror classic!
