In Marian Keyes newest novel we explore the world of grieving. Keyes, one of the leaders in women’s fiction, writes about difficult issues (drug addiction, infidelity, loss) but does so with effortless humor and grace. In her most recent work we are introduced to Anna Walsh, one of the five Walsh sisters that Keyes has written about in her earlier novels. Anna is living in the Big Apple and experiences one of the greatest losses one can imagine, the loss of a loved one. We are able to experience the grief through Anna’s warm eyes and enjoy the hilarity of her family as they relentlessly try to cheer her up. I think this novel is by far one of Marian Keyes’ best to date. If you have never read one of Ms. Keyes books before now, begin with this one, you will not regret it. It may even change the way you look at life…and death.
