Famous writer (and infamous playboy) Jay McInerney made a rare guest appearance on the season premiere of Gossip Girls last night on the CW. For a great writer, he wasn’t completely awful as an actor. Pretty stilted and definitely sounded like he was reading lines, but the part where he “checked out” the young girl as she walked by was completely believable. I’m guessing that has more to do with his own reputation as a “Player.” It’s always fun to see writers on the small screen.
