The demographic for the Allie Finkle series is 9-12 and without disclosing too much information about members of the BookFinds Team, let me just say, we are decades away from 12! And the crazy thing is, we LOVE this series! It brings us back to fond memories of discovering that rambunctious Ramona Quimby, but with a modern and relevant kick. Allie’s problems are problems we have all experienced in some form or another. This series is great because parents will love reading it with their children, older brothers and sisters won’t feel like babysitting is so awful if they get to spend the time discovering Allie’s cute, wild, quirky, real world and children will fall in love with a heroine they can relate to. Meg Cabot is an exceptional real storyteller. She never runs out of interesting stories to tell you and she allows you to jump right into the world she has created. On her popular blog, she often mentions how much she loves reading books while floating in a pool in the beautiful summer sun. What better time to explore Meg Cabot’s newest release then in the month of August when Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls: The New Girl hits bookstores.
