Four past book editors of the Los Angeles Times — Sonja Bolle, Digby Diehl, Jack Miles and Steve Wasserman — released a letter protesting the planned termination of the Sunday Book Review, which apparently will be replaced by a smaller number of pages appended to the Calendar section. It’s a sad day when you think about book reviews lessening, but we still find space to talk about people like the octomom. Very sad. All writers need reviews because until we can get great review we are a nobody in a somebody world.
