Hardcover vs. Paperback: The Unwritten Rule

And to keep the theme continuing, I have another HC vs. PB post. Thoughts?

THE UNWRITTEN RULE by Elizabeth Scott

Summary:

He’s looking at me like—well, like he wants to look at me.
Like he likes what hes sees, and he’s smiling and hiw eyes are so blue, even in the faint flow of the porch light they shine, and I nod dumbly, blindly, and then grope for the door handle, telling myself to look away and yet not able to do it.

“Sara,” he says, softly, almost hesitantly, and my heart slam-bangs, beating hard, and this is what it’s like to want someone you can’t have. To want someone you shouldn’t even be looking at.

Personally, I am drawn to the paperback cover. It is rare to see an actual face on a cover, granted this one is upside down, but still…an actual face! Some readers are completely against seeing a face on the cover because they feel it takes away from their ability to create the characters in their own mind.

Let me know which cover you like better? Do you like seeing actual faces on the covers of books?

  1. I don’t drop many responses, but I looked through some remarks here Hardcover vs. Paperback: The Unwritten Rule | BOOKFINDS. I do have 2 questions for you if you don’t mind. Could it be simply me or does it look like a few of the responses come across like they are coming from brain dead individuals? 😛 And, if you are writing at other sites, I would like to follow anything new you have to post. Could you list of the complete urls of all your social networking sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
